Training Conference (GATC)
GATC 2014: The Facts
Who is invited: 2014-15 district administrators or his/her designee and 2014-15 district governors elected at DCON are invited to this event. As district conventions conclude (or even prior to elections*), please make sure your newly-elected governor (or candidates*) is/are aware of this training event.
* This is especially important for district conventions that take place in mid to late March.
When: Thursday, April 10 through Sunday, April 13
GOVERNORS: Arrive Thursday before 2 p.m. at the Indianapolis airport.
ADMINISTRATORS: Arrive Friday before 3 p.m. at the Indianapolis airport.
Depart anytime Sunday if not attending CLE; depart after 3 p.m. if attending CLE training.
Where: Homewood Suites just across the street from Kiwanis International (next to Crackle Barrel Restaurant). Governors will be placed in quad rooms and administrators will be placed in double8occupancy rooms with the option of upgrading to a single occupancy suite for $150 for two nights. There is no registration fee for attending this event (unless administrators opt to upgrade from a double occupancy room to a single occupancy room). All meals are included from dinner on your arrival date to breakfast on Sunday morning (a lunch voucher will be provided for CLE attendees).
Programming information will be available on the GATC page of the Circle K website as details and curriculum are finalized. The Kiwanis staff plans to host an open house, building tours, a special CKI Kiwanis Store during the event. A complete schedule of weekend activities will be available prior to March 1. Because of hotel availability of conference rooms, nearly all GATC events will take place at Kiwanis International.
Registration will be available March 1. We will send you a message when the registration form is live and you may begin the online registration process. You must know your travel plans prior to registering for GATC (flight information). Each governor and administrator must submit an online registration form. You may depart anytime on Sunday unless you are participating in CLE training. Districts with DCONs in February should plan to register by March 10. Districts with DCONS in March must register for GATC within 10 days of the close of your district convention.

Governors and administrators are responsible for funding and securing travel arrangements to and from Indianapolis. CKI will make shuttle arrangements for you from the airport to the Homewood Suites.
Those who drive should plan to arrive at the hotel no later than 2:30 p.m.
Please remember to bring your completed medical form (all) and your code of conduct form (governors) to registration Friday afternoon.
Club Leadership Education trainer
GATC is an opportunity for leadership team members to become a certified Club Leadership Education trainer. Club Leadership Education is a dynamic presentation of a proven basic process each club should use to educate club officers in the basics of leadership. This training will take place on Sunday morning from 8 a.m. to noon. If you are interested in this training, please check the appropriate box on the registration form. If you are planning to attend the CLE training, please plan on your return flight departing after 3 p.m. on Sunday. CKI will arrange for your transportation back to the airport.
