The Kiwanis International Board of Trustees approved the three CKI bylaw amendments that were passed at the 2026 House of Delegates in Dallas, Texas, U.S. The subjects of the amendments are:
- District officers. To meet the standard in the CKI Bylaws, districts must at least have a governor, a secretary-treasurer and a bulletin editor. The secretary-treasurer may be split into two positions, and the responsibilities of bulletin editor may be assigned to an appointed committee at the discretion of the district leadership and/or district bylaws. Districts retain the flexibility to add additional officers, including lieutenant governors.
- Lifetime dues. Instead of paying dues annually, a member can pay a single time at a higher rate, which would cover their membership for the entirety of their collegiate career. Please note: Implementation will not occur until April 2027 at the earliest. More to come!
- Global District. To promote equity across the organization, any CKI club that does not belong to a recognized district now is a part of the Global District. All clubs within the Global District will coordinate to elect district-level officers, and club leaders will have additional support from the international layer of CKI.

The approved 2026-27 CKI budget is now available for review. District and club leaders will receive a more detailed breakdown of the budget at the November Leadership Forum.
