CKI Next Up is an engaging interactive leadership development for rising CKI leaders. Nominated participants will explore and learn how to apply leadership styles, personal values, self-advocacy, public speaking, grit and goal setting in their CKI roles. The training helps participants better understand the Next Up concepts and apply lessons into real-world scenarios. (There will be a break for lunch around noon.)

Join Kiwanians for the pageantry, recognition and celebration of the Kiwanis family. The opening session features Chris Singleton, a former professional baseball player who was 18 when his mother died in a racially motivated mass killing. He has dedicated his life to sharing his message of love over hate.

Ever wonder how to think outside the box when it comes to fundraising? Do you need new ideas and strategies for club or district fundraisers? Do you need to learn how to deal with university rules regarding fundraising? Join Immediate Past Florida District Treasurer Jose Mendez and Florida District Treasurer Kristin Draulans to overcome these fundraising obstacles, develop out-of-the-box ideas and raise money, money, money!

Leave this workshop with an understanding of the program and feel empowered to bring it back to your chapters/districts to activate throughout the year.

2-2:45 p.m. Child Rights Education Training with UNICEF USA. Mile High Ballroom 4D
This training is designed for clubs, youth leaders and adult allies to introduce the concepts of child rights, the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and youth-led action and advocacy at the local level. The training uses participatory discussion, activities and exercises to address the need for social change and strategies for individual empowerment, community-building and local action. With awareness of the CRC, participants can apply a child-rights lens to real-world experiences and begin learning how to advocate with a child-rights approach in their communities.

This workshop fosters a dialogue among CKI members, advisors and leaders from across the globe, offering a platform to discuss the potential impact and implications of the proposed bylaws amendments, including the increase in dues. Led by 2023-24 CKI President Zak Kahn, this workshop equips attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the proposed increase and all other amendments while encouraging active participation and diverse perspectives.
