Circle K International is excited to roll out a pilot program that will grow club membership, engagement and retention.
The First-Year Ambassador Program provides first-year students with leadership opportunities right out of the gate, appealing to those who want to make a mark on campus. Not only will the ambassadors help with recruitment, but they will be likely to run for officer positions, ensuring the continued success of your club for years to come.
This is a great opportunity for first-year members who might be familiar with the Kiwanis family and want to move quickly into a CKI leadership role.
The ambassador is responsible for marketing and promoting Circle K International to other first-year students on campus. If the college/university campus has a physical location for first-year students, such as residence halls, the ambassador becomes responsible for recruitment, retention and member education efforts in those locations. Each ambassador is appointed by the club president, and each club president may appoint more than one ambassador. An ambassador serves as a nonvoting member of the club’s board of officers.
For more information on how to implement this program in your club, contact district or international leadership and check out this detailed role description. We would love to see a new class of first-year members developing into leaders as soon as they arrive on campus, so be sure to take part in this new initiative!
