Why did you join CKI?
I joined CKI because I wanted to make a positive impact on my college community. I was in my spring semester as a college freshman, and I felt lost. I went on my school’s club page, searched for service organizations, and picked CKI because it was at the beginning of the alphabetized list.

Why did you decide to run for the international board?
In my CKI leadership experience, my mission has been to uplift those around me. It’s what inspired me in my previous roles, and it’s what inspired me to run for international president.
What are you most looking for to this year?
I am excited to work with our international council! We have so many passionate leaders, and I want to work with them to carry out our collective vision for the organization.
What do you like most about CKI?
The people! Whether it’s CKI members, Kiwanians, Kiwanis family members — the people inspire me to not only serve but be a better person. I am so excited to connect with even more people as international president.
Favorite CKI memory
My favorite CKI memory was CKIx 2019. It was my first event outside of the club level, so it gave me a fresh perspective on the organization’s scope.

I love hanging out with friends, hiking and exploring random parts of the country in my car.
Who is your hero and why?
My parents are my heroes because they instilled in me the values of compassion, hard work and selflessness.
Somewhere you’d like to travel in the future
I’d like to travel to Asia!
Favorite animal
Dogs. I have a Labrador retriever named Joel Embiid, and he is always by my side!

Something people might not know about you.
I grew up in Wilmington, Delaware, right down the street from Joe Biden! Whenever I give a Delaware tour, his house is always the first stop.
Any hidden talents?
I can sing! I’m not a good singer, but I can do it!

What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a professional baseball player. After some strikeouts and a few hit by pitches, I never wanted to play baseball again!
