In 3-5 sentences, tell us about yourself.

My name is Joshua Burgett. I am from Idaho but attend Arizona State University. I have been in the Kiwanis family for four years so far. I have served as my club2018-2019 fundraising chair2019-2020 Southwest District Retention lieutenant governor and the 2019-2020 International Service Committee’s Service Initiatives ambassador. I love all the service that we can do as an organization and the opportunities that we give our members!

What are you most looking forward to about your year as governor?

I am most looking forward to working with my amazing district board, finding a way to incorporate their ideas and passions into a successful term and using that to build our district!

Favorite CKI memory

My favorite CKI memory was my first Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, New Mexico, my freshman year. I decided to go on a three-day weekend trip, 16 hours in a car, with a few of our club’s board members. We woke up at 3 a.m. to visit the Balloon Fiesta before volunteering at the event.

Favorite service project

My favorite service project was volunteering this past summer with the Kiwanis Club of Tempe to help put on their Fourth of July event. I was able to work with and get to know members of both the Kiwanis Club and Key Club while doing service.
