Show others why you #ChooseCKI. Promote CKI to new members and share your CKI story!

GET INVOLVED: Wear your CKI gear around campus and bring a friend to a club meeting.

SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE: Why did you #ChooseCKI? Wear your CKI merchandise (shirt, buttons, etc.) around campus to showcase your CKI pride. Share your story on your personal account(s)!

Day 2 – CKI Around the World | October 13

CKI is a global organization with an impact that spans 18 countries. Celebrate our global scope and connect with CKI clubs from another district or country!

GET INVOLVED: Host an interclub meeting with a club from another district or country or connect with members from around the world.

SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE: Give a shout-out to a club that you’ve connected with.

Day 3 – Lead with Love | October 14

Learn how you can create consistent leadership opportunities and foster professional development for all members. Connect with CKI alumni or other leaders on campus to learn from their leadership experiences.

GET INVOLVED: Invite CKI alumni, Kiwanis family members or other campus leaders to a leadership development event.

SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE: Post about the people who mentored you during your CKI journey. Tag someone else to do it, too!

Day 4 – Find Your Family | October 15

CKI members often say they joined for the service, but stayed for the fellowship. Invite classmates to an engaging and inclusive club social.

GET INVOLVED: Host a fun social that celebrates being a member of the world’s largest, student-led collegiate service organization!

SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE: Share your favorite CKI memory on social media.

Day 5 – Random Acts of Kindness | October 16

CKI is all about making the world a better place. Brighten someone’s day while promoting CKI to prospective members on your campus.

GET INVOLVED: Do a random act of kindness as an individual member or a club.

SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE: Post evidence on social media. Tag a friend to share their act, too!

Day 6 – Do Something Day | October 17

Use the Community Outreach Report to identify needs in your community and take action with CKI clubs around the world.

GET INVOLVED: Take action in your community! Host a service event and invite others on campus to participate.

SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE: Share a photo and story from whatever your club does this day.

CKI Week Guidelines

During CKI Week each club will focus on our three tenets: service, leadership, and fellowship. Here are some guidelines: 

• Fellowship: Put an emphasis on building meaningful and lasting relationships through fun activities. Whether it’s with other members of your club, local Kiwanis Service Leadership Programs or friends in your district, make a genuine connection with someone in the Kiwanis family! Team up for a service project, organize an interclub social or just spend time with friends to celebrate fellowship through CKI. 
• Leadership: People always talk about the value of a servant leader. Well, these days are designed for you to show off how you lead! Collaborate with others, reach out to local Kiwanians and focus on your personal leadership journey through CKI. No two members will have the same leadership experiences — so accept and embrace those differences to grow and lead together. 
• Service: Whether we’re packaging food, building playgrounds or working with animals, each of us has a service project we love. CKI has a diverse group of partnerships that address a variety of issues. We challenge you to collaborate with our partners so we can continue to be catalysts within our communities. Project ideas are divided up by partnerships — so start planning now. And take lots of pictures!

Why should clubs take part in CKI Week? 

Clubs will be promoting CKI and dedicating a week to highlighting what CKI does in the community. In all, more than 12,000 college students could participate. CKI Week is a marketable event that clubs can get excited about. It’s a fantastic way to help clubs earn publicity, build awareness and recruit new members. In the Kiwanis family, CKI members perform the most community service hours per member — and CKI Week is a chance to highlight this service on college campuses and in college communities around the world.
