CKI members from across the organization gathered for an event filled with leadership, fellowship and service in Austin, Texas, during the 2022 convention. About 200 members, advisors and supporters made their way to the Lone Star State to celebrate CKI!

Evan Austin, a three-time Paralympic swimmer and Team USA captain, addressed attendees by sharing his struggles and how hard work and belief in oneself can combat any adversities. Austin took us on an emotional roller coaster as he illustrated, through his personal experiences, some of the toughest failures and greatest successes a human can go through.

Dan Faill, an accomplished storyteller and international speaker used his humor and stories to create a deeper connection with CKI members. He discussed two important topics, including: “Getting Out of Your Head and Conquering Impostor Syndrome” and “Free to Fail: Unlocking the Formula to Successful Leadership.”

CKI members also took part in a service project that benefited organizations such as Cards for Hospitalized Kids, Meals on Wheels and Little Free Library. Members also discussed the importance of service in their home clubs

During the House of Delegates session, delegates listened to candidate speeches and voted for the 2022-23 international board. Tyler Kearns of the New York District was elected Circle K International president and Liz Sevigny of the New England District, the vice president. Delegates discussed and voted on nine amendments that will go before the Kiwanis International Board for final approval.

We closed out the event by celebrating our outstanding clubs and members during our Recognition Session. A complete list of award winners can be found here
