Have you heard? We’ll be joining Kiwanis International in Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S., June 21-24 for the 2023 Circle K International Convention. CKI members will have a chance to network with Kiwanians, hear from a wider range of speakers, attend more workshops and get more opportunities for personal growth. We’ll be doing all that while keeping the CKI traditions we love.

Here’s why you’ll want to attend the 2023 convention!

Speakers and entertainers who will ignite your passion for service: You’ll hear from nine speakers, including celebrity chef Andrew Zimmerman, who is using his fame to publicize, educate and amplify hard conversations around social justice and food — one of CKI’s service initiatives!

Also appearing is Neil Giuliano, 1977-78 Circle K International president! When Giuliano was elected mayor of Tempe, Arizona, in 1996, he became the first openly gay mayor to be directly elected in a major American city. Since leaving office, Giuliano has led a life of service as president of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) and other organizations.

Mix and mingle (and eat!): Because we’re joining Kiwanis at the Minneapolis Convention Center, lunches are included in the registration cost. No more running around trying to find a place to eat lunch before attending a workshop. We’ll be eating lunch on Thursday through Friday in the Kiwanis Marketplace — plus you’ll get heavy apps during the Kiwanis Jamboree on Thursday night. Yum!

Buy CKI gear: The Kiwanis Family Store will be onsite in Minneapolis, with new CKI merch for sale. Buy your gear and save shipping costs!

Celebrate CKI! Our president, Tyler Kearns, will be featured in the Kiwanis Convention Kickoff, and other members will have opportunities to speak. It’s our 75th anniversary, and we want to celebrate in style! We’ll close the convention with our awards session, where we’ll recognize individual and club achievements.

So many workshops: Recruitment. Retention. Fundraising ideas. DEI and so much more. There will be sessions hosted jointly by CKI and Kiwanis and CKI-specific workshops. Pick a topic and you’ll probably be able to find an educational session that will inspire you to be a better CKI member and person!

But don’t forget: This is your convention! CKI members will consider amendments to the bylaws and elect new members of the board of trustees.

We look forward to seeing you in Minneapolis, Minnesota! We’ll save you a Juicy Lucy burger. (Look it up. You’ll thank us.)
